Our FSA team recently concluded the second field work visit to Northern Karamoja, Southern Karamoja and refugee settlements in Western Uganda where they visited processors (of cereals, honey and edible oils). A follow up of the roadmaps that were developed with the processors after assessing the GAPs was done. The team then discussed challenges and possible solutions with the processors and new road maps were agreed upon. During the field visits, local CSPs ( Consultancy Service Providers) were also trained in Food Safety Management Auditing as a way of extending consultancy services to the processors.
